I&#8217;ve picked a goal for exercise, a semi-goal for drinking water, and an idea about food. I have put some thought into this, and maybe I&#8217;ll chat about it sometime &#8211; but for now I&#8217;m just posting this on the Internet for the world to see. \ud83d\ude42 Follow along or join me if you want&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the exercise goal for the year. It&#8217;s an idea proposed by my friend <a href=\"http:\/\/shoultz.net\" target=\"_blank\">Cory<\/a>. Walk or bike 1000 miles. It doesn&#8217;t sound so hard until you start doing the math. That&#8217;s averaging a 5k EVERY DAY from now until next year. Good grief!!! &#8212;\u00c2\u00a0However, I&#8217;m not going to be overwhelmed with it. I&#8217;m just going to take it one day at a time. I&#8217;ve started a <a title=\"Fitness Goal \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 2012 \u00e2\u20ac\u201c 1000 Miles\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pambhm.net\/blog\/fitness-goal-2012-1000-miles\/\" target=\"_blank\">log on this site<\/a>. You can check on my progress every now and then. Since I&#8217;m starting a little late in January, I&#8217;m going to grandfather in the 5k I did on Jan 7th in the Red Nose Run for Ronald McDonald House.<\/p>\n<p>The water drinking semi-goal is just to drink more than was my habit in 2011 &#8211; actually to drink some water is a change for me. <em>I love me some Dr. Pepper<\/em>. \ud83d\ude42 So far, so good with the water drinking. I&#8217;ve managed to average somewhere in the 50 ounces\/day range. I&#8217;ve got <a href=\"a cute water.org bottle with a camelbak bite valve and a filter\" target=\"_blank\">a cute water.org bottle with a camelbak bite valve and a filter<\/a> in it. No excuses&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Food is an interesting one. My idea is to eat more healthily. I know that sounds weak &#8211; and it doesn&#8217;t fit the measurable part of proper goal-setting; hence just the idea. Anywho&#8230;it&#8217;s what I&#8217;m setting my goal to be. I&#8217;m not going to &#8216;rules and regulation&#8217; all over myself on this one based on the following verse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>I Cor 8:8 The Message<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><strong> But fortunately God doesn&#8217;t grade us on our diet.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><em><strong>We&#8217;re neither commended when we clean our plate nor reprimanded when we just can&#8217;t stomach it.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m setting some goals for myself in the fitness area.
