It swirls powerfully, like muddy rapids. Thrashing heart and mind round and round like a toy boat in a damaging river of doubt, fear and lies.<\/p>\n<p>The \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m unlovable\u00e2\u20ac\u009d thought often tosses us from one painful situation to the next.<\/p>\n<p>Rejection from a parent leads to a heart desperate to fill the void that leads to an unloving abusive relationship. A broken heart is patched up with food that leads to weight gain that makes us feel less than beautiful and unworthy of love.<\/p>\n<p>The bruised parts of our hearts can lead us down dark alleys littered with regrets and sadness.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t assume to know the tongue lashings, torturous words or deeds, and taunts you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve endured. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know what rejections, rudeness, or raw aches have slayed your heart. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know what choices you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve made\u00e2\u20ac\u201dwhat choices were made for you\u00e2\u20ac\u201dthat pushed you into the roaring rush of this river that tries to drag you down with lies and pain.<\/p>\n<p>I only know this\u00e2\u20ac\u201dyou will drown in that river unless you grab hold of this safety rope: You are loveable.<\/p>\n<p>Yes. You. You are loveable.<\/p>\n<p>There is an all loving Creator who is sovereign. This is a big word with bigger meaning: all powerful. He had the choice to concoct you in His mind. He had the option to create you. He had the wherewithal to call you by name. He didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to.<\/p>\n<p>He could have said,<br \/>\nNah, I know how that one turns out.<\/p>\n<p>Depression and doubts are her go-to\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s instead of Me.<br \/>\nGuys are allowed to violate her body.<br \/>\nHer marriage falls apart.<br \/>\nHer relationship with her parents isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t good.<br \/>\nHer kids can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stand her.<br \/>\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s frumpy.<br \/>\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not worthy of My time or talent.<br \/>\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not lovable.<\/p>\n<p>But He didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t. No.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, He said,<br \/>\nI know how that one turns out.<br \/>\nShe trusts me despite her teetering emotions and difficult circumstances.<br \/>\nShe redeems her past to inspire purity in young girls.<br \/>\nShe encourages and invests in other\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s marriages.<br \/>\nIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s My delight to be her Father and call her My daughter.<br \/>\nHer knees hit the ground in fervent prayer for her children.<\/p>\n<p>She\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s beautiful.<br \/>\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s worthy of my Son\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s life and death.<br \/>\nShe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s so lovable, I call her Mine and nothing she does\u00e2\u20ac\u201dnothing that happens to her\u00e2\u20ac\u201dcan take My love from her.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know why you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t feel you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re lovable. Or what lies come trying to convince you that your past, your actions, your shame, your guilt disqualifies you from love.<\/p>\n<p>What I do know is this: you are worthy of love. You are loveable. And you are qualified as a child of God. But don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take my word. Take His\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em>This is what the LORD says: \u00e2\u20ac\u02dc[Insert your name] who survives [insert what makes you feel unlovable] will find favor in the desert; I will come to give rest to [her].\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcI have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. I will build [Insert your name] up again and you will be rebuilt.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (Jeremiah 31:2-4a, NIV 1984)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dear Lord, I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made! Thank You for knowing me fully and loving me completely. Please help me know\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6truly know\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6I am loveable. Thank You for the freedom You give from the hurt and lies.
