I just finished listening to the Bible in 2012! I’ve heard the Old Testament once and the New Testament and Psalms twice in the last 12 months. It was the M’Cheyne One Year Reading Plan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the end of 2011 I wanted to find a fresh way to hear from God in the new year. Choosing to listen to Scripture was a great option for me.<\/p>\n

I used youversion.com to have each day’s readings pushed to my itunes account as a podcast – then I listened to a reading from four different portions of Scripture. You can also keep track of your readings using a checklist or calendar. The Scripture is also presented in your favorite translation – and you can read along online or in your own copy.<\/p>\n

I am thankful for God’s word to us – and that we can hear from Him using the technology available to us. In 2012 I can hear Scripture read to me online or using a podcast, have multiple versions at my fingertips on my phone, and I can hold an old-fashioned copy of a book with words on pages that I can underline and highlight to my heart’s content.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
