Raise my standard of living?

Isaiah 33:15-16 The Message

The answer’s simple:
Live right,
speak the truth,
despise exploitation,
refuse bribes,
reject violence,
avoid evil amusements.
This is how you raise your standard of living!
A safe and stable way to live.
A nourishing, satisfying way to live.

Ah ha! The complete answer to the question!!!
But what does it mean to ‘live right’? Do I want to live in a safe and stable way?
When I looked at these verses in the NIV I saw the answer from a different perspective.
It involves guarding/controlling/disciplining my life – my walk, my talk, my stuff, my pride, what I see and what I listen to, …
Then I will be satisfied with bread (food – spiritual & physical) and water (for physical and spiritual life).
Then God will supply all my needs (Phil 4:19), and I will live on the heights, not in the pit…(Ps 40:2)

Isaiah 33:15-16 NIV

He who walks righteously
and speaks what is right,
who rejects gain from extortion
and keeps his hand from accepting bribes,
who stops his ears against plots of murder
and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil
this is the man who will dwell on the heights,
whose refuge will be the mountain fortress.
His bread will be supplied,
and water will not fail him.
